Kortney, who was born in Los Angeles and raised in Las Vegas, always had a lifelong interest in healthcare.
She began her healthcare career path by enrolling at Hampton University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Pre-Med. After three years as a medical assistant, Kortney moved to the DC metro area to continue her education. She was accepted in the Physician Assistant program at George Washington University and received a Master of Health Science and a Master of Public Health with emphasis in promoting screening modalities for cancer prevention.
She works at the Chantilly, Fair Oaks and Williams Drive offices and at Fairfax and Fair Oaks hospitals. She is a member of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants and the American College of Gastroenterology.
Kortney's favorite leisure time activities are foreign and domestic travel and spending time with her family.
