Dr. Jeremias Tan earned his B.A. in English at The George Washington University, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He continued his medical school training, internship, and residency in Internal Medicine at The George Washington University Medical Center, rising to the rank of Chief Medical Resident.

Attracted to both the technical and intellectual aspects of Gastroenterology, he decided to pursue sub-specialty training at The Lahey Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Tan enjoyed all aspects of general Gastroenterology and spent particular attention to treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Liver Disease, Small Bowel Video Capsule Endoscopy, IRC treatment of hemorrhoids and Biliary Endoscopy.

Dr. Tan is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology and he has hospital practice affiliations with INOVA Fairfax and INOVA Fair Oaks. His professional memberships include the American Gastroenterological Association, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American College of Physicians.
