Board Certified in Gastroenterology

Dr. Kim earned a bachelor's degree in biology with honors from the University of Chicago before entering medical school at Cornell University.

After receiving his MD from Cornell, Dr. Kim did his residency in internal medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan Medical Center. Following his fellowship, Dr. Kim was an assistant professor of medicine at Penn State Medical School. He now serves as Chief of Gastroenterology at INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital and is a member of the Advanced Endoscopy Center at INOVA Fairfax Hospital. Dr. Kim specializes in diagnosing and treating the full spectrum of gastrointestinal disorders. His special interests include: advanced endoscopic procedures, including EUS and ERCP; early diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancers; and pancreatic and liver diseases.
